Executive President: Bryan McGinn ‘24

My name is Bryan McGinn. I am a member of the Class of 2024 double majoring in Biology and Health Policy and Management from Queens, New York.

On campus, I am the Executive President of Student Congress, serve as an Orientation Leader, am a Biology Teaching Assistant, and in the Dirigo Honor Society. Outside of my college life, I have done research on clinical decision support systems, am a certified EMT, and work at a local restaurant.

Currently, I am finishing my degree and working as an ED Technician. After graduation, I hope to take a few years off to work, and then have aspirations to go to medical school.

I joined Student Congress my freshman year and have loved it ever since. Student Congress is a great group of people that are all kind, caring, and passionate about making Providence College a better place. I am so grateful for Student Congress and all that it has given me the last four years.

I am looking forward to the responsibilities of my role as Executive President this year. As the Executive President, I am the liaison between the Student Body and administration. I am excited for the opportunities to support students on campus, serve on various committees, and work towards making Providence College a better place for all students.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you ever need anything, I am always happy to talk or meet.

For both of my majors I have researched women’s rights and advocacy in regions like Latin America and the Middle East from a political and historical lens, while also debunking Western predetermined views on the topic of oppression in relation to women’s rights.

I have previously served as the President of PC Democrats for two years, and I am currently the Executive Secretary of Student Congress. I joined Student Congress my freshman year where I began as a member on the Student Life Committee for two years, then later transitioned to class secretary of the Junior Class. In my current position as Executive Secretary I value communication and transparency both on and off the club. I have worked and communicated with the other large clubs, to work on the image of Student Congress.

After my Undergraduate Degree, I plan on pursuing a Master’s in History at Providence College while working with the Compliance department in PC Athletics to analyze the ongoing adaptations to NIL and the income of student athletes. I have previously taken the LSAT exam, and am hoping to pursue a Law Degree after my Master’s.

I am currently the Executive Treasurer of Student Congress, the Chief Content Officer of the Benjamin Family Social Media Fellows in the Providence College School of Business. I was also an Orientation Leader for the Class of 2027, and am a member of the Marketing Fellowship program and Beta Gamma Sigma. Outside of campus, I am currently a Public Relations and Marketing intern for a small Public Relations company called Corporate Ink.

As Executive Treasurer, I am given the student activities budget of around $560k to give to clubs. By meeting with these clubs, I am able to provide them funding that allows for the students of Providence College to be exposed to different activities, cultures, and people.

I joined Student Congress my freshmen year, and have served as a member of the Public Affairs committee for the past three years, which proved to me that I love marketing. Student Congress has presented me with a multitude of opportunities, and have introduced me to some of the most amazing and hardworking people on campus. I am proud to be a part of such a talented group who put so much time and effort into making Providence College a better place.
