Executive Board

Executive President: Kayla Fordyce ’25

Hi, my name is Kayla Fordyce and I am a member of the Class of 2025 double majoring in Biology and Sociology from Killingworth, Connecticut.

In addition to my role as Executive President of Student Congress, I also serve as an Orientation Leader, am the Vice President of the Friars EMS Club, am involved in Unified Basketball, and am a Chemistry Lab TA.  I am a member of the Dirigo Leadership Honor Society, AED Health Professions Honor Society, and the Sigma Xi Research Honor Society. I am also in a research lab on campus studying genetic mouse models associated with neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Undoubtedly, my most meaningful experience at PC has been through Student Congress.  As a 4 year member, I have learned the power of using my voice to create change.  I have worked on many projects aimed at providing Providence College students with the best opportunities. I have helped create an excel course for incoming biology majors, collaborated closely with faculty senate regarding criteria for graduation awards, and served on the Administrative Sustainability Committee to advocate for increased sustainability efforts at PC. I have served as an officer for the Class of 2025 for the past 3 years, and have assumed the role of Executive President for my final year at Providence College.

In this role, I serve as the liaison between faculty, staff, and students, and as the point person for the 75th Student Congress.  I serve on the Board of Trustees Student Affairs Committee, the Honorary Degree Committee, the Homecoming Core, the Academic Convocation Speaker Request Committee and regularly meet with the college president and dean of students. I am very excited for this role and will represent the Providence College student body to the best of my ability.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email me, I would be happy to talk and see how Student Congress can help!

Executive Vice-President: Kaitlyn Hladik ’25

My name is Kaitlyn Hladik. I am a member of the class of 2025 and majoring in Political Science with minors in Communications and Public Administration. I am from West Caldwell, New Jersey and a proud member of Student Congress. I am dedicated to maximizing Providence College’s potential while ensuring students feel valued and included throughout their time and beyond.

I am a 3 year member of Student Congress, joining as a committee member on Public Affairs. I worked to run the Class of 2025 Instagram, build our TikTok presence, and report the work of Congress in The Cowl. In addition to my committee work, I have initiated impactful projects aimed at enhancing student experiences. These include developing a communications major, introducing a class to the school of arts and sciences to aid first-year students’ adjustment to college life, working to improve dorm safety, and advocating for a more accessible campus environment in partnership with the personal counseling center. Outside of Student Congress, I am a Peer Ministry Coordinator and have led the Freshmen Connections Retreat. I am a Global Ambassador for the Center for Global Education and am in the Pi Sigma Alpha honors society.

After graduating from Providence, I hope to continue my education in international affairs through a masters program and continue my travels abroad.

I am excited to support students on campus, specifically through campus safety and the improvement of mental health facilities at PC. I look forward to developing a task force with my fellow congress members to cater to students on campus and work closely with administration to do so.

I am so grateful for the various opportunities Congress has given me and I am excited to share the love I have for Friartown through my position. I encourage any member of the PC community to work with Student Congress, attend our meetings, or share their ideas!
